Welcome to MIKEYP
Message from our Founder Anthony Petrella:
MIKEYP was created in memory of my brother, Michael Petrella, who passed away from leukemia in 2019. He was known for his strength, his humour, and the way he put others before himself. Even during his illness, he chose to take part in clinical trials he knew might not help him, but could help someone else.
That mindset became the foundation of MIKEYP.
Around that same time, I was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease, a chronic illness that affects the digestive system. It made me more aware of what we put into our bodies, and how many people are navigating their own health challenges. I began to realize how many people around me were living with chronic illness, or knew someone who was. It made me question what we are really putting into our bodies through our food and beverages.
Having grown up playing sports, I naturally focused on hydration — something essential for everyone — yet most options on the market were filled with sugar, artificial flavours, and artificial colours that didn’t align with their purpose. That’s where the idea for MIKEYP began.
MIKEYP was created to offer a more thoughtful approach — functional electrolyte beverages made with natural ingredients, where each flavour is designed with a specific role in mind.
More than anything, MIKEYP exists to carry forward Michael’s legacy — built on strength, selflessness, and the belief in doing something that can help others.
This is more than hydration. It’s something built to last.

MIKEYP was developed through extensive research and collaboration with experts in nutrition, flavour development, and beverage science. Every ingredient was carefully selected to balance taste, stability, and quality while maintaining a clean and refreshing experience.
Ingredients and Quality
Each MIKEYP can is made with high-quality ingredients, natural flavours, and natural colouring — without artificial dyes. Small amounts of sodium benzoate and potassium sorbate are used within Health Canada and FDA guidelines to maintain freshness and product stability while protecting ingredient integrity.
Unlike high-heat pasteurization, our process helps preserve delicate ingredients while ensuring safety from production to opening.

Creating a hydration drink that people would love required more than just science; it required artistry. Countless taste tests were conducted, involving diverse palates to ensure MIKEYP not only met but exceeded expectations.
